The focus of the conference will be emergency preparedness training. The Conference organizer is Christine Brown from Vermont Emergency Management.

Invited participants include: current and aspiring CERT members, local emergency management personnel and members from other volunteer organizations (such as those that are faith-based).

(4 hours: 8:45 - 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.)
Shorter Training Sessions Including:
Cultural Historic Preparedness (8:45 - 9:45 a.m.)
Radio Communications (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.)
Crime Awareness/Prevention (12:00 - 1:00 p.m.)
Conference participants will also be able to attend one of the following training sessions being offered from 2:30-3:45 p.m.:

  • National Weather Service SkyWarn
  • Smoke Alarm Installation & Home Safety
  • Cultural Historic Preparedness
  • Radio Communications

    It is not necessary to sign up for these shorter training sessions ahead of time.
