Knowledge Network Orientation for Managers

Welcome to The Knowledge Network

Thank you for selecting one or more employees to attend training programs offered through The Corporate University, Kent State University at Stark.
Research shows the major challenge faced by managers and training and development professionals is the transfer of knowledge and skills to the workplace after an employee returns to the workplace. To realize the transfer of knowledge and a return on the training investment requires planning and commitment on the part of the organization, the manager and the individual.

Training cannot be conducted in a vacuum nor be expected to have maximum impact without a plan in place. Ensuring that an educational endeavor sticks takes a systematic approach and commitment of the employee, his/her supervisor and the organization. The goal of The Corporate University’s programs is to provide participants with knowledge and skills that can be applied on the job and will impact the workplace immediately upon return.

The following recommendations will help you maximize your employee's learning experience.
